World Record


Lake Cumberland, KY (August 9) – On Saturday, August 14th, thousands of boats will gather for a lake-wide event hosted by the Lake Cumberland
Association (LCA) in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Boat Tie-up and make boating history. LCA aims to collect over 2,000 boats for the ‘Raft Up’ in an attempt to break the current record of 1,454 boats.
Each of the Lake Cumberland’s nine marinas will offer a full agenda of family friendly celebrations to visitors during the record breaking weekend. The Lake Cumberland Raft Up 2010 aims to display case the 1,255 miles of pristine shoreline to travellers and boat fancier from across the region. The record breaking effort ‘Raft Up’ will be the headlining event of the weekend, in which boats of all sizes are promoted to take part admitting row boats and canoes.
