Australians blame the U.S. for WikiLeaks filtration

According to the Australian Foreign Ministry “the United States has to blame the one who leaked hundreds of thousands of secret diplomatic cables from the country, not the WikiLeaks site.”

Kevin Rudd, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, said “the founder of WikiLeaks, the Australian Julian Assange, is not responsible for the unauthorized release of 250 000 documents from the network of U.S. diplomatic communications.”

“The Americans are responsible for that.” “The question here is about their security and the level of people with access to that material for a long time.”

Julian Assange is under police custody in London while it is being decided whether he will be extradited to Sweden, whose authorities are calling him for an alleged sex crime.
