Granta is a UK-based literary magazine, whose latest issue celebrated Pakistan through its articles and essay. An event organised by the British Council (Karachi) was focused on the Pakistan issue of Granta on Friday, October 22 –a month after the magazine’s official launch at Asia House, London.
At such a time when the country’s identity is not only complex but mangled, a well-timed issue of Granta devoted to literature, reportage and artworks from Pakistan appreciates the vibrant though diverse creative forces within society.
